For immediate release 29 October
Following the appointment of Anne Heal as MOSL’s new Chair in September 2020, we have been actively recruiting a new Non-Executive Director to join the MOSL Board.
Following a competitive recruitment process, we are delighted to announce Hunada Nouss as MOSL’s new Independent Non-Executive Director.
Hunada is an accomplished business leader with a strong record of delivering change and achieving high performance in complex organisations. Her career spans private sector businesses, notably Diageo Plc. and Burger King Corporation, the public sector, including leading roles in Whitehall in the Department for Work and Pensions and the former Department for Communities and Local Government, as well as not-for-profit organisations.
She is currently a non-executive director in a range of organisations, supporting strategic change and organisational performance. Hunada sits on the Board of the Met Office, the UK’s national weather service, and chairs its Audit and Risk Assurance Committee. She is a Board member, and Audit Chair, for the Education and Skills Funding Agency, the body responsible for mobilising £60bn of funding for education and training. She also has a seat on a number of audit committees including that of the Royal Society and the Sponsor Board of Restoration and Renewal project of the Palace of Westminster. She has recently completed a nine-year commitment as Council member and Audit Chair of City, University of London.
In welcoming Hunada to the Board, MOSL Chair, Anne Heal, said “Hunada’s strategic, financial and commercial capability will be a welcome addition to the MOSL Board. Her experience in effecting organisational transformation in highly challenging situations, will be an asset to MOSL as we continue to transition out of COVID-19 and as we navigate the market through the current economic climate.
As we develop our first three-year business plan, which will be issued for member consultation in January, Hunada’s extensive background in senior finance roles will help inform and provide the appropriate level of challenge to MOSL’s future plans. I look forward to welcoming Hunada as we continue to strengthen the governance of both MOSL and the market.”
Hunada will officially take up the position on 1 November and will join her first Board meeting on 11 November.
