Acceleration of CPW047 into CMOS Production Estate |
At the Panel meeting held on 27 November 2018, CPW047 ‘Enabling Sewerage Wholesalers to create meter networks’ was recommended for implementation but MOSL was asked to investigate implementation sooner than the proposed date of November 2019. MOSL has impact assessed implementing this change in an interim release R6.5 and assessed the risk to CMOS Operations and development of R7.0 to be minimal. These change proposals seek to better align the Ofwat licensing and MOSL market entry assurance processes, as well as providing clarity to applicants and trading parties on the market entry and market re-assurance processes. If approved, these changes will amend the Wholesale Retail Code market terms, objectives, principles and definitions, CSD0001 (market entry assurance and market re-assurance) and the Market Arrangements Code. |

GDPR Issues Committee Consultation: Proposed Market Codes Amendments for GDPR Compliance |
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect on 25th May 2018. At this point all UK industries must be compliant with a new standard of data protection set by the European Union (EU) in the regulation. The GDPR Issues Committee has been reviewing the impact of the GDPR on the market codes. The Committee is seeking views from Trading Parties on potential amendments to the codes to accommodate the requirements of the GDPR. |
