Circumstances

Building water is a supply of water used as part of construction activities on a building/construction site. It may be temporary or become the permanent supply point to an eligible premises.

For building water, customers can request a connection to the relevant wholesaler’s network directly, or through a retailer.

Customer touchpoint

Customers who are developing a premises (i.e. a new property development) will usually require a water source before construction activities can take place. This will involve physical work to the site. New customers will need to be registered to a wholesaler's network in order to do this and in this instance, the customer is able to select a retailer in advance.
