Customer touchpoint
Non-market meters are needed to ensure that customers are billed correctly when on a network. They are often, but not always, located in household premises and therefore access to the meter reads are necessary for customers to be accurately billed.
Obligations under the market codes
Wholesalers are responsible for maintaining meter network data in CMOS. The processes by which non-market meters are installed, replaced and removed are detailed in CSD 0106 (Non-market meters).
Wholesalers are also responsible for taking and submitting cyclical reads for non-market meters.
